The Blasorchester Siebnen, founded in 1898 in the village of Siebnen, is one of the leading symphonic wind orchestras in Switzerland for 30 years. Innovative concerts, major projects and regular participation in competitions distinguish the Blasorchester, including international ones as the WMC in Kerkrade or the CIBM in Valencia. The Blasorchester was qualified for the ECWO in 2016, as they won the Federal Music Festival, an incomparable national competition of Switzerland with more than 550 participating clubs of all classes and occupations.

Blaise Héritier

Blaise Héritier

Blaise Héritier is the musical director of the Blasorchester since 2011. He studied piano and percussion as well as wind band direction with Pascal Favre in Lausanne and orchestral direction with Jean Balissat. Beside the Blasorchester, he is conducting the highest-class brass band „Ensemble de cuivres jurassien“ and the concert choir EVOCA. In addition, he is active as president of the music commission of the Swiss wind music federation, director of an academy of music, guest conductor, and judge of national and international music competitions.
